In this glum desert, suddenly a specific photograph reaches me; it animates me, and I animate it. I must name the attraction which makes it exist: an animation. The photograph itself is in no way animated…but it animates me: this is what creates every adventure.

The practice of writing about a photograph creates a bridge between two mediums. It tells a story about the picture that is unique to the viewer. Writing about photography is a way to explore the choices made after the event.
